Just came back from watching Evangelion 2.0 You can (Not) Advance at Cineleisure. Man, that movie was a blast!!! I wouldn’t say that it’s similar to the series but some concept were kept the same. Asuka coming down with a rank and you can obviously spot the modifications they made on EVA02.
But what amazes me this time round is….REI HAS MORE EMOTIONS!!!! Moetastically Fantastic!!!
Also not forgetting the bespectacled beauty Mari which is currently my wallpaper.
Let’s get into the main point about the fight scenes. Though there are some similarities about the fight with the Angels…Especially with the 14th and the one that drops down from space…It’s all totally redesign and remake!! Even the Dummy System looks cooler this time round. The best part of the movie was the fight between EVA01 and the 14th Angel Zeruel. Though in both the series and the movie, EVA01 when berserk, it was made more EPIC in the movie!! Red glowing armor parts…Some kind of godly shining hand and finally the awakening of EVA01. I almost jizz my pants during the whole fight.
Towards the end of the movie, I assume EVA01 got pierce by the Lance of Longinus and shows the arrival of the new pilot which is the 17th Angel from the series. If you had watch the End of Evangelion, I think you know what happen after EVA01 got pierce by the lance…
So even if you have zero exposure to the series, just go with your guts and catch the movie!! I’m sure you wouldn’t regret it.

Manage to dug out 2 of my S Club 7/S Club CDs. Instantly ripped them into my PC. While playing their songs and lying down on my bed reminiscing on my Secondary days…I still remember waking up at 6am just to catch Viva S Club and Hollywood 7 on Channel 5. I doubt anyone has any memories of these shows. Sad that they disbanded, if not I’ll probably be still a fan of them now. Saying Goodbye was their last single and it’s on the top of my tear-jerking song list.
